Abstract: This study aimed to determine the relationship between mothers’ thinking styles and attachment styles with emotional intelligence in secondary school girls with hearing loss in cities of Tehran province in order to provide structural equation model. The research method was descriptive and correlational. The research population included all secondary school girls with hearing loss and their mothers in cities of Tehran province who were selected using targeted cluster random sampling (n=180). The research instruments were Harrison and Bramson’s Inquiring Mode Questionnaire (Inq), Collins and Reid Adult Attachment Scale (RAAS) and Siberia Schering’s Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire. Structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. Structural model evaluation using indices of chi-square, ratio of chi-square to degrees of freedom, root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA), standardized root mean square residual (SRMR), goodness of fit index (GFI), comparative fit index (CFI), normed fit index (NFI), process capability index (PCI) and Tucker-Lewis index (TLI) showed that there is a significant relationship between mothers’ thinking style and attachment style with emotional intelligence in girls with hearing loss
