Comparison of the clinical pattern of personality based on the clinical pluriaxial questionnaire of Millon for criminals (thieves, fraudsters and smugglers and sex offenders), in prisons of Tehran

Abstract: The study aimed to evaluate the clinical pattern of personality based on the clinical pluriaxial questionnaire of Millon for criminals (thieves, fraudsters and smugglers and sex offenders) in jail in Tehran. The preferred method is of ex-post facto for this kind of comparative-causative study. The statistical population consisted of all criminal prisoners (thieves, fraudsters and smugglers and sex offenders) in prisons in Tehran in 2015. The statistical sample was selected using the available sampling method, including 50 criminals, 50 thieves, 50 smugglers and 50 sex offenders. The instrument used is the pluriaxial clinical test of Millon 3. The results demonstrated that there is no significant difference between the types of offenders in scale of schizoid, avoidant personality, dependent personality and narcissistic personality; but between types of offenders in scale of depression personality, antisocial personality, borderline personality and aggressive personality
