The COVID-19 pandemic has changed educational leadership, presenting both challenges and opportunities to change and innovate. This paper examines the effect of the post-pandemic era on the leadership of education, such as difficulties in managing the abrupt transition to online and hybrid teaching and learning, resource planning and
well-being of learners and educators. The research has drawn several leadership concerns such as the digital divide, teacher fatigue and digital equity. Nonetheless, post-pandemic era also has its opportunities such as integration of technology, transition of leadership to non-traditional and inclusive and personalized learning. Some of the trends, including the implementation of hybrid learning, collaborative leadership and teacher training, are determined in the study. The paper discusses these challenges and opportunities, and offers guidance for educational leaders and policy makers to adapt to the new educational landscape. The study concludes that although there are challenges, including the digital divide and change resistance that need to be addressed, the shift towards more inclusive, flexible and adaptive leadership is crucial in creating a resilient education system. The paper ends with a reflection on the need for ongoing innovation and flexibility in educational leadership to adapt to the new normal.
