Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the likelihood of financial distress that mobile telecommunications companies might face using Zmijewski X-score model. The study covers the three mobile telecommunications companies that are listed on Boursa Kuwait during the period 2013–2017. There are three mobile telecommunications companies operating in Kuwait: Zain, Ooredoo and Viva. The results obtained from this research demonstrate that Viva was the best performer during this period and the least likely to face financial difficulties despite its poor start
