The relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational Citizenship behavior of elementary school teachers of region 1 of Karaj

Abstract

This study has started by aim to consider the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior of elementary school teachers of region 1 of Karaj. This study is descriptive – correlational in terms of origin and is operational in terms of the end. Population of our study is includes all of elementary teachers of region 1 of Karaj that it‟s statistical sample was 280 people according to Mohrgan table that has conducted using from stratified random sampling and from two standard questionnaire including standardized emotional intelligence questionnaire of Bar – Own and it has used from standardized questionnaire of Organ to measure organizational citizenship behavior. It was used from regression testing and regression ANOVA and also Pearson correlation test to examine study hypothesis to verify and consider the study hypothesis that is include a main hypothesis and four sub-hypothesis. Meanwhile, it has used from SPSS/PC16/.VER software to conduct calculations. Obtained results indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence with four items (Self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management) and organizational Citizenship behavior of elementary school teachers of region 1 of Karaj.
