Abstract

The manufacturing sectors and the banking sectors of two emerging West African economies of Ghana
and Nigeria are crucial for the survival of these two nation states. The manufacturing companies and the
deposit money banks with up-to-date data were included in this study. Secondary data from the final
accounts of these businesses constituted the bulk of the data. ANOVA, SPSS and Excel were employed to
generate datasets. Altman Discriminant analysis method was applied to the datasets. The going-concern
status for each domain was plotted. The study concluded that Ghana manufacturing companies and
Nigerian deposit money banks showed a greater promise of continuity.
