Investigation of Key Success Factors in attracting foreign investment

Abstract

The using of foreign investment is performed in order to achieve other goals for the purpose of financing as well. The goals of attract foreign investment consist of Improve productivity, skills development and management to improve the quality of local workforce, expansion of export markets, increased domestic production standards and move towards a market economy. The aim of this study was to investigate the factors attracting foreign investors in the Department of Economic Affairs and Finance is in Khuzestan province. The research method in this study is a descriptive survey. Statistical population is consisted of all 120 employees in Economic Affairs and Finance Office in Ahvaz. Due to limited population, the census, 120 people were selected as sample. To collect data, it is prepared a questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: A) General questions (demographic) and B) specific questions. This questionnaire was consist about the four internal factors of the companies and it was according to Mertzanis model (2016) which consists of the company's internal factors. The findings are showed that according to the perspective of staffs and experts, among the internal factors in attracting foreign investment, the legal status of the company was of the utmost importance and corporate sectors were less important in attracting overseas capital. According to the perspective of staffs and experts about the importance of "legal status" of a company in attracting foreign investment and considering the issue of foreign investment in the initial evaluation in Economic Affairs and Finance Office, This is very Important to incentive plan and articulate a clear policy on attracting foreign investment is important with considering the role of government to ministries and relevant organizations in the province, as well as new legislation to attract and support foreign investment.
