Along with the dynamics of contemporary society, which are characterized by rapid technological progress and shifting social standards, the process of childhood development has been accompanied by new challenges. The article explores the emotional and behavioral development of children under the influence of modernization, specifically, digital addiction, parental intervention, and the subsequent mental health problems. To investigate the implications of modernization on the emotional well-being and intellectual development of children, that is, to determine how changes in technology and family structures are contributing to emotional insecurity, depression, and behavioral problems. This paper will be a qualitative examination of the impact of modernization on children, analyzing available literature, case studies, and societal trends. It is based on studies related to child psychology, technology addiction, and parental impact in contemporary reality. The results indicate that the current generation of children experiences more emotional insecurity because they lack parental care and emotional support. Also, the misuse of digital media has contributed to addiction, lack of creativity, and loss of social interaction, which also impedes emotional and intellectual growth. Failure and criticism are causing behavioral problems among children who cannot cope with the situations and end up depressed, aggressive, and withdrawn from social life. The challenges of modernization to a child's development are enormous, namely, technological addiction and parental absence. The solutions to these problems should be moderated to encourage emotional support, reduce screen time, and foster a more encouraging environment to help children prosper.
