Abstract

The research conducted in this paper, determines if there is a correlation between modern day female abuse rates toward minority groups (the groups used in this research paper was African American women and Native American women)within the United States and their historical violence. This data was then compared to a group within the United States that lower rates of female abuse and violence (the comparison group was caucasian women). The research looked at abuse rates toward the focus minority groups mentioned above and the non minority common female population. The research then looked into the history of these groups to determine how much violence occurs within these groups. The data was then analyzed to see if there was a correlation between these two variables that could not be controlled.
