Abstract

Cultural heritage of each country is museum. Museum is the cultural, belief and political identity of each nation in history and each nation has personality, identity, originality and historical value as much as documentations present as cultural heritage. The first act which is necessary for the preservation of works and objects is a museum, and museums are basic foundations, through which we can preserve the valuable heritage that remained throughout the centuries and provide the possibility of their visitation for people. Through museums, contemporary national arts can be known to the people and the world, and make artistic and cultural relationship with scientific and cultural centers and museums of the world. Historical identity was replaced by the wandering of imported culture and Western anti values. People feel admiration and an origin identity by recognizing the cultural and historical heritage, and experience ups and downs of ancestors. Today, with the development of communication and the emergence of the concept of a global village, identity preservation has become one of the most important concerns of people and governments in many societies. In diverse societies, diverse factors such as language, race, ethnicity, religion, and even natural conditions such as mountains, rivers, lakes, etc. can be effective in strengthening collective identity. In the meantime, the characteristics of architecture and urbanization in a society can be an effective factor in strengthening the identity of that society, and even creating a new identity for it. This identity can be formed based on the architectural difference of an area with other areas, by relying on the historical and traditional architecture of an area, and sometimes even on the basis of a single architectural monument such as a mosque, church, palace, museum, etc. . In this research, case studies of architectural monuments influencing in the strengthening concept of identity in different societies, as well as the impact of museum architecture on strengthening the collective identity of the inhabitants or the creation of a new identity in contemporary cities were examined. The study was conducted based on documentation and library studies, and field observations by distributing questionnaire. The results showed that the museum and architecture affect all aspects of cultural-social, language, art and literature, religion
