Brain Imaging encompasses a range of methods, both non-invasive and invasive, with the objective of observing the
human brain's structure, function, and connections. It holds a pivotal role in enhancing our comprehension of
conditions linked to the brain, cognitive functions, and neurological operations. The continuously advancing realm of
brain imaging has unlocked opportunities for early detection, formulating treatment strategies, and delving into the
complex mechanisms that underlie human cognition and behavior. Brain imaging methods have transformed our
comprehension of the structure, function, and the intricate connections between different components of the human
brain. Over the past few decades, numerous advancements in imaging technologies have provided researchers with
unprecedented insights into both healthy and diseased brain states. This paper reviews the major categories of brain
imaging techniques, including structural, functional, and diffusion imaging, highlighting their principles, applications,
and recent innovations. Moreover, the paper explores the profound impact of these techniques on advancing
neuroscience research and clinical diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
