Abstract

ESG practices are crucial in integrating the business objectives with the long-term resilience and sustainability of public health through the application of environmental, social, and governance principles in corporate financial strategies. Conventional financial approaches tend to be less sensitive to the idea of the ESG, and the companies face threats of health-related disruptions, environmental degradation, and excessive focus on the generation of  short-term financial profits. The framework presented in this paper is known as the HEAL Framework (Holistic ESG-Accountable Leverage), which is a strategic model that attempts to integrate ESG measurements in financial decision-making to facilitate responsible investment, better governance, and improved health outcomes for the population. HEAL Framework assists organizations to make sound financial decisions by considering the social, environmental, and governance impacts of their investments. It promotes transparency reporting, impact assessments based on data, and intersectoral objects of collaboration to match the corporate objectives with sustainable development targets. Empirical research on the use of the HEAL Framework in companies shows that they experience high levels of financial improvements, stakeholder relations, and reduced risks. Moreover, these enterprises can be more resilient to the health crisis, including pandemics, and environmental issues, including climate change, which contributes to long-term business success. The model also focuses on the issue of sustainability through ethical governance and the contribution of businesses to the global sustainability agenda. When financial strategies incorporate ESG principles, a business is not only generating value to the stakeholders, but also working towards making society healthy and the environment sustainable. This paper demonstrates that the importance of ESG integration in corporate finance continues to rise and offers some ideas on how companies can integrate financial objectives with those of the wider societal health and sustainability agenda.
