Investigating the Factors Affect Individual’s Attachment to place

Abstract

The individuals’ living place is not just a physical element, but it includes all the mental and sensational
factors of the individuals. The place to individuals includes social interactions and meets the individual
needs, which is the factor to make interest and attachment among individuals. The individuals at any
neighborhood or city have attachment to their living area, which such attachment derives from sense of
belonging and physical elements which cause creation of identity in individuals. In this research, in
addition to the definitions proposed by theorists, various aspects of attachment are examined which cause
sense of responsibility of individuals at neighborhood or city. Effects of attachment affect directly
individuals and city and raise mental health and mental comfort in individuals.
