Presentation of a model for lifestyle in resistance poems of Iqbal Lahori

Abstract

The way of human’s approach toward oneself and the world of being and beliefs and paradigms and finally individual, social, and political culture for any human forms his/ her lifestyle. Our relationship is mutual and close among lifestyle and social phenomenon. As social developments such as revolts and revolutions are followed by change in type human’s attitude toward oneself and outside world and beliefs and finally lifestyle, change in religious and political and cultural paradigm or in other words change in lifestyle may also prepare the ground for social developments. Release of nation from colonialism yoke in countries e.g. Algeria and India, outbreak of Iranian Islamic Revolution, and establishment of Pakistan are some examples of change in lifestyle which have been followed by some changes such as independence and revolutions. Inter alia, literature and especially resistance literature may play essential role in changing lifestyle whereas it includes change in the field of individual and social attitudes and beliefs. In other words, configuration of Islamic lifestyle is founded on resistance for which literature is one of symbols for manifestation of this resistance. The current research tends to draw role of Iqbal Lahori in presentation of new model of lifestyle with respect to elements of resistance in literary works of this poet.
