AI Tools Policy

  1. Permissible Use of AI Tools
    IAJIR permits the use of AI tools (such as grammar checkers, translation software, data analysis tools, and content generators) to assist authors in enhancing language, formatting, or technical aspects of their manuscripts. However, AI should be used only as a support tool, and not as a substitute for original research, analysis, or scholarly interpretation.

  2. Mandatory Disclosure
    Authors are required to disclose any use of AI tools during the manuscript preparation process. This includes specifying the name of the tool (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, DeepL, etc.) and its purpose (e.g., editing, summarizing, data processing). A disclosure statement should be included either in the acknowledgment section or as a footnote.

  3. Responsibility and Accountability
    Regardless of AI involvement, authors retain full responsibility for the content of their submissions. They must ensure the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their work. AI-generated or edited content must be thoroughly reviewed and validated by the authors to avoid misinformation, bias, or unintentional plagiarism.

  4. Prohibited Uses
    Submitting content entirely generated by AI tools without meaningful human input, critical analysis, or scholarly contribution is strictly prohibited. Manuscripts that rely heavily on AI to produce arguments, conclusions, or literature synthesis without author oversight may be rejected for lack of academic merit or originality.

  5. Peer Review and AI Use
    Reviewers and editors are also discouraged from using AI tools to generate review reports or editorial decisions. Any AI-assisted support used in the peer review process must follow the same principles of confidentiality, integrity, and disclosure.

  6. Ethical Compliance and Consequences
    Misuse or non-disclosure of AI tool involvement may be treated as an ethical violation. In such cases, the manuscript may be rejected or retracted, and the authors may face sanctions including bans on future submissions. IAJIR reserves the right to update this policy as AI technology evolves and new ethical considerations emerge.
