Enhancing Sustainability through Smart Building Technologies Using Fuzzy Logic and Green Building Rating Systems

A performance-based assessment focused on green practices will acknowledge the disruptions caused by human
activities and the impact on our environment, all while keeping financial feasibility in mind. Unfortunately, there's a
lack of comprehensive databases that track various financial, ecological, and infrastructural factors, along with
statistical data in public areas or communities, which hinders research efforts in this area. Given these challenges, it
becomes a real test for leaders to find a suitable approach for evaluating risk vulnerabilities and implementing effective
environmental initiatives tailored to local needs. Additionally, all buildings, regardless of their size, location, or type,
should be required to have insurance. Insurance companies will need a quick and cost-effective way to assess buildings
for safety and their green credentials. They will also need to reevaluate each insured building every two to three years,
depending on the situation. Thus, it's imperative that the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector
act quickly and efficiently to evaluate the region's current building stock for safety and environmental friendliness in
addition to creating green structures.
